This is how the tiger works

1. Your search query is sent to external search engines via multiple Tiger Proxy servers.
2. At the same time, the personal index (Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Liechtenstein) with approximately 121 Mio. websites searched
3. Subsequently, the obtained results are sorted by relevance and occurrence.
4. For all external search engines, the query comes from Tiger.ch - Your IP address and other details remain always protected and anonymous.

We search for you anonymously in 15 sources: Brave, Curlie, Dailymotion, DuckDuckGo, Google, Marginalia, Mojeek, PeerTube, Search.ch, Stract, Wiby, Wikipedia, X (Twitter), Yahoo, Youtube and in 121 million pages from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein.

Our 7 Points on the Data Protection Concept

All search queries to other search engines are made through our servers. This means that the sender of a search is always us, not you.
The links in the search results are encrypted and are redirected through our servers. This means that the sender of a click is always us, not you.
Every search query can be encrypted. The link only works as long as you are online. After a timeout of 15 minutes, all search links become invalid. This protects your browser history from others.
We do not display any external advertising and do not use any external scripts. Thus, no one can track you.
Our search results are unfiltered. You "get" what you search for, not what you are supposed to find. With our own index of more than 120 million pages, we also find websites that would otherwise remain hidden.
Since we do not collect any data and do not record your search behavior, we cannot pass anything on to third parties.
Finally - our servers are located in Switzerland (Bern) and are therefore subject to Swiss law.
